Do You Ship Takeout Menus to My State?

Free shipping in 17 states — and the rest of the country too.

It is the first question most restaurant owners ask, and it is a fair one. You found a printer you like. The design is free. The prices look right. But will they ship to you — and what will the shipping cost?

Here is the plain answer. Takeout Printing ships to restaurants in all 50 states. Shipping is free in 17 states, listed below by name. Outside those 17, there is a small extra charge for shipping, and free custom design is still included. No surprises, no fine print. Here is exactly how it works, state by state.

The 17 free-shipping states

Shipping is free in these 17 states: New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine, Delaware, Maryland, Ohio, Virginia, West Virginia, Kentucky, Tennessee, and North Carolina. If your restaurant is in any of those states, your menus are printed, folded, and shipped to your restaurant at no shipping charge. That covers the whole Northeast, the Mid-Atlantic, and parts of the Midwest and South — from a pizza shop in New York to a BBQ joint in Tennessee to a diner in Ohio. Free custom design is included with your order, too. The price you are quoted is the price for menus at your door.

Outside the 17 states

If your restaurant is anywhere else in the country, you can still order. Takeout Printing ships to all 50 states. Outside the 17 free-shipping states, there is a small extra charge for shipping. Call or text 646-721-1569 for your exact total before you order, so you know the full number up front. The extra charge is only for shipping. Your price still includes free custom design, full-color printing on both sides, and menus trimmed and folded. A Thai restaurant in Florida, a steakhouse in Texas, or a taco shop in California gets the same design service and the same printing as a restaurant in New York — the only difference is the small shipping charge.

What free shipping covers

Free shipping means your menus are printed, folded, and shipped to your restaurant. That is the whole job, door to door. There is one thing it does not cover, and it is worth saying plainly: EDDM mailing postage. EDDM is the post office program that mails your menus to every home on a mail route. The postage for that is 26 cents per piece, as of July 2026, and it is separate. Takeout Printing charges nothing for the EDDM setup. Your menus ship to your restaurant, you drop them off locally, and you pay only the postage. Mailing is optional — plenty of restaurants order menus for the counter and the delivery bag and never mail a single one.

How payment works

Payment is simple, and it is the same in every state. A 50% deposit starts your job. The order must be paid in full before it is printed and shipped. That is the whole policy, and it is stated up front so there are no surprises at the end. This is also why the deposit matters. Once your deposit is in, the design team starts work and your first proof is on its way. When you approve the proof and the balance is paid, printing starts. Clear steps, in order, with nothing hidden between them.

5

How long until your menus arrive

Most orders take 5 to 7 business days to print, counting from the day you approve your proof with your order paid in full. Then your menus ship to your restaurant. The clock starts at proof approval, not at your first call — and that is good news, because it means the design stage does not eat into your printing time. Send your menu items, logo, and photos early, approve your proof quickly, and your menus are on their way sooner. Rush options may be available if you are in a hurry — ask when you call.

Where to start

Check the list above. If your state is one of the 17, shipping is free. If it is not, one call gets you the exact total with the small extra charge included. Either way, the next step is the same: call or text with your menu items and how many menus you need, and the team takes it from there.
