How to Order Custom Takeout Menus: Start to Finish
Five steps from your first call to menus in your hands.
Ordering custom takeout menus sounds like a big job, but it is really five simple steps. A phone call, the items you already know, one approval, one payment, and then menus at your door. Most restaurant owners put it off because they picture weeks of back-and-forth. In practice, the whole thing moves fast — and the design team does the hard part.
Whether you run a pizza shop, a Thai restaurant, a diner, a BBQ joint, or a deli, the steps are the same. Here they are, in order, with what to expect at each one.
Step 1 — Call or text
Call or text 646-721-1569. The team is available 10am–10pm EST, 7 days a week. Tell them what you need and how many menus you want. You do not need to have everything ready. You do not need a finished design or a logo file on the first call. Just say what kind of restaurant you run, what size menu you are thinking about, and roughly how many you need. The team asks the right questions from there. If you already know your quantities and sizes, even better — the quote comes faster.
Step 2 — Send your menu items, logo, and photos
Next, send three things: your menu items and prices, your logo, and any food photos you want used. Your menu text should read exactly as you want it printed, because that text goes straight into the design. No logo? That is fine. The team designs a text-only logo as part of the free basic design — just your restaurant's name, set to stand out with color and effects. Your own food photos are welcome if they are good print quality and you have the rights to use them. If you do not have photos, the team can source professional food images that match your dishes. Send everything at once and the job moves faster.
Step 3 — Approve your proof
The team builds your design and sends a first proof in 3–5 business days for design work. That proof is the full draft of your menu, laid out and ready to check. Look it over carefully: every item, every price, every spelling. This is your menu, and this is the moment to catch mistakes. Send your changes by email, clearly typed, stating the section and the change. Revisions usually come back within 24 hours. Take your time on this step. A proof approved in a hurry is how a wrong price ends up printed ten thousand times. Approve once, approve right, and the rest of the job runs smooth.
Step 4 — Pay
Payment works in two parts. A 50% deposit starts the job. The balance must be paid in full before the order is printed and shipped. That is the whole policy, stated up front. The deposit is what gets the design team working. The full payment is what starts the presses. There are no hidden charges waiting at the end — the price you agreed on is the price, and free custom design and free shipping in the 17 free-shipping states are already part of it.
Step 5 — Print and delivery
Once your proof is approved and your order is paid in full, most orders print in 5 to 7 business days. Then your menus ship to your restaurant. That is the finish line: a box of fresh menus at your door, designed for your restaurant and no one else's. And your design stays on file. When you need a reprint, there is no starting over. The team pulls up your design, updates anything that changed, and prints again. Reordering is the easiest step of all.
Where to start
Step 1 takes two minutes. Call or text 646-721-1569, say what kind of restaurant you run and how many menus you need, and the team takes it from there. By this time next week, you could be looking at your first proof.
